Paula Patton was born in Los Angeles, California to a middle class family. Her childhood was filled having big hopes. She was born into an upper middle-class family living in Los Angeles and had big dreams for her future. Her mother enjoyed watching films and encouraged a love of movies in her daughter and also. Paula was a participant in co-curricular programs at her school and enjoyed drama. Paula loved acting with friends, and she participated in the school's stage productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School's Hamilton Magnet Arts High School was the location of numerous school productions. The student decided to be an actor. She was a student at an acting program at the University of Southern California for the Summer Program, and she loved it. She was awarded the PBS three-month project to film documentaries. She started her career as a television production assistant when she completed this assignment. Later, she moved on to produce documentaries. She loved her work but was determined to be an actor. Her acting debut came by playing a supporting role in Will Smith's romantic comedy Hitch. In the years since, she's appeared in many popular movies and TV programs.
